The Build Public Renewables Act will create 35,000 new jobs building out and scaling up the largest state owned utility in the country–the NY Power Authority. The act will expand NYPA, add more accountability, create a surge of new union jobs, and ensure that NY meets its challenge to have a publicly owned, democratically controlled, 100% renewable energy system.
